Aminu Mohammed had career highs of 23 points and 13 rebounds and Georgetown overcame a 10-point halftime deficit to beat Syracuse 79-75 on Saturday in Washington.

Mohammed, a freshman who also had a personal-best five assists, led an early second-half rally that gave the Hoyas (5-4) a lead and put the game away with two free throws with nine seconds left.

In Lawrence, Kan., Ochai Agbaji scored 21 points, Christian Braun and Dajuan Harris had 13 apiece, and No. 8 Kansas (8-1) roared to past Missouri (5-5) in the first meeting of the longtime Big 12 rivals as nonconference foes.

In Champaign, Ill., Bennedict Mathurin scored 27 points to power No. 11 Arizona (9-0) over Illinois (7-3).
UConn 74, St. Bonaventure 64
R.J. Cole scored 15 points and No. 15 Connecticut surged midway through the second half to beat St. Bonaventure at Prudential Center.
Akok Akok added 12 points and Jordan Hawkins had 11 for UConn (9-2). The Bonnies (8-2) took a 39-36 lead on Jalen Adaway’s two free throws before the Huskies scored 13 straight points to take control.

In Salt Lake City, Lahat Thioune scored a career-high 16 points off the bench and Utah (7-3) rolled past Manhattan (6-3) in the first meeting between the two schools.
