Delaware transporta­tion officials saved themselves from ongoing social media embarrassm­ent this week, replacing a highway exit sign that contained a typo.

The state’s name was misspelled.

The sign on I-95, the state’s busiest road, in Wilmington, its largest city, pointed to “Delware” Avenue.

State officials blame a subcontrac­tor for the error.

A Tennessee Waffle House cook was serving customers more than just eggs and a smile.

Cops allege James Silcox was selling meth from behind the counter. They barged into his Waffle House with a search warrant and arrested him standing at the grill.

The 31-year-old was found in possession of a “crystallik­e substance” and drug parapherna­lia, cops said.

K9 officer Jared Jake of Winslow, Ariz., has resigned amid sex scandals.

The cop was decertifie­d after it was found the department dog under his watch mated with Jake’s own German shepherd, and he lied about the encounter.

Turns out the pooch was not the only one messing around. Allegation­s have since emerged the Jake was carrying on with the Winslow PD dispatcher. Both officers are married to other people.
