A bloody Sunday
Seven people were shot — one fatally — and a man was stabbed to death in the city Sunday morning, cops said.
The violence began at around 1:20 a.m. and ended at about 10 a.m., authorities said.
In the first of the morning’s bloody incidents, a 34-year-old woman was shot in the arm while sitting in a parked vehicle at Mexico Street and 114th Drive in St. Albans, Queens, at around 1:20 a.m., cops said. She was taken to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition.
About 10 minutes later, in Brooklyn, a 39-year-old man walked into Kings County Hospital with a gunshot wound to his face. The man refused to tell authorities how he was shot or where it occurred, cops said.
At about 2 a.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in the right foot in the lobby of 193 Albany Ave. in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. A male suspect wearing a black jacket ran off, cops said. The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.
Bullets also flew in front of 8 Rockaway Ave. in BedfordStuyvesant, Brooklyn, at around 3 a.m., fatally striking a 31-year-old man in the stomach, cops said. He was taken to Brookdale Hospital but couldn’t be saved. The shooter fled in a white sedan.
At around 3:50 a.m., a 37-yearold man was found shot once in the left leg at 960 Grand Concourse in The Bronx and taken to Lincoln Hospital.
About 10 minutes later, a 29year-old man was shot in the left leg during an argument at 4006 Astoria Blvd. in Astoria, Queens. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in stable condition.
The latest shooting happened at around 10 a.m. at 1281 Herkimer St. in Bedford-Stuyvesant, when a 27-year-old man was hit in the back and torso, cops said. He was rushed to Brookdale Hospital in critical condition.
The fatal stabbing occurred before 6:30 a.m., when a man was found slashed in the throat at 6 Stanwix St. in Bushwick, Brooklyn, cops said.
