No mo’: Revel brake in Bx.

-

Revel said it is “pausing” its moped rentals in The Bronx due to a rash of stolen parts there.

A “significant spike in thefts” has “left mopeds unusable for Revel’s riders” in the borough, the company said in a statement that added: “We are exploring ways to address this issue and hope to resume service in the future.”

Revel’s bailing from the borough was first reported by Bronx Times, which cited a rash of battery thefts. Revel continues to operate its moped sharing in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, the company said.

Previously, it halted service citywide for a month after three fatal crashes in 10 days.
