Cursing Out a Reporter: Biden’s Hot-Mic Mishap
THE ISSUE: President Biden’s calling Peter Doocy a “stupid son of a b - tch” on a live mic after a presser.
At a recent White House Press Conference, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked President Biden: “Do you think inflation is a political liability in the midterms?” (“Joe: Reporter A ‘Stupid S.O.B.,’ ” Jan. 25).
The president responded, not aware that his microphone was still on: “It’s a great asset. More inflation. What a stupid son of a b-tch.” Biden’s response was hardly presidential.

Doocy is a nice, intelligent young man, trying to do his job. He asks questions in an eventone, polite manner, unlike those insolent Marxist media agents of the Democratic Party, who incessantly attacked former President Donald Trump with in their dismissive disdain at every presser.
Doocy is neither “a son of a b-tch,” nor stupid. For this old, angry man in the White House to pejoratively smear this young man in such a manner is an egregious disgrace.
Neither the person in the White House, nor the one next door in the Old Executive Office Building, deserves to hold office.
Although it’s a terrible thing to wish your own life away, November 2024 cannot come too soon.

A reporter for Fox News asked a relevant question on current events, and Biden cursed him on a hot mic.
The press continues to go easy on Biden, never interrupting when he’s speaking. Needless to say, they interrupted Trump in a most discourteous manner — constantly.
Which leads me to the long-running TV show, “The View.” When the newest middle-of-theroad guest insinuated to the panel that Biden’s cursing of the reporter was a bad move for a president, Whoopie Goldberg had the audacity to reply that “he’s human.”
The past year under this president has been nothing short of horrendous. Yet the liberal press fails to report the actual facts to the American public.
Will they ever cease this “free pass” handed to our incompetent president and his administration? Marty Orenstein

Ever since Biden became president, I thought he was in cognitive decline with borderline dementia.
After this episode calling White House correspondent Peter Doocy an “S.O.B.” for asking a question about controlling inflation, my opinion of Biden has changed.
I don’t believe his cognitive abilities are in decline as much as the fact that he is just a nasty, stupid old man.
The public has a right to have an answer to one of the most serious issues that is plaguing the nation. Doocy is one of the few decent White House reporters who isn’t concerned with what Joe’s favorite ice cream flavor is. He deserved more respect than he received.

We should applaud Peter Doocy, who had the guts to ask relevant and tough questions.
I wonder how Biden would have reacted if Doocy had asked him if he had ice cream that day, and if he had, what flavor? Keep up the good work, Doocy.

As one who believes that a president should comport himself with dignity and decorum, I regret that Biden made a profane reference to a persistent reporter and had previously denigrated another for asking “a stupid question.”
The modus operandi of Trump was to engage in insult and coarseness. I expect better of Biden, who fervently pledged to “fire on the spot” any staff member who was disrespectful of others.
The president should model the behavior that he seems to expect from his staff. Oren Spiegler

It seems to me that if you’re making rude, obnoxious and insulting comments on a hot mic, then apparently you’re “the stupid S.O.B.”
