The hunt for a missing elderly woman in North Carolina ended when a pet duck led police to her body.

Nellie Sullivan was reported missing in 2020, but wasn’t found until locals were chasing after their duck, which ran straight for the container into which the woman was stuffed.

Cops said the woman was in her 90s, and charged her granddaugh­ter and an accomplice for the murder.

A marijuana festival in Chicago was canceled over the weekend after a fire broke out at the weed dispensary hosting the event.

The Waldos Forever Fest was set to take place Saturday, but a blaze broke out early that morning that severely damaged the venue.

One person was injured and three businesses were badly damaged.

A Florida sheriff said residents are “more than welcome” to shoot intruders who break into their home.

“We prefer that you do, actually,” said Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson. He encouraged residents to take a gun-safety class as well.

“If you take that, you’ll shoot a lot better, and hopefully you’ll save the taxpayers money,” he insisted.
