Pence has Ga. in mind
Former Vice President Mike Pence will stump for Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp on the eve of this month’s GOP gubernatorial primary — further distancing Pence from former President Donald Trump, who has actively backed Kemp’s opponent.
Pence will take part in a May 23 event as Kemp seeks to fend off former Sen. David Perdue, according to the campaign.
Pence’s endorsement came days after Trump took his latest swipe at Kemp — who has criticized Trump’s claims of voter fraud in Georgia during the 2020 election.
