Fertility can be stressful to navigate, and for members of the LGBTQ+ community, it’s imperative to find the right team of doctors to support and guide them through their fertility journey. In celebration of Pride month, we spoke to an LGBTQ+ couple currently receiving IVF treatments from Generation Next Fertility (GNF), a premier fertility clinic in New York City.

When asked what made them choose Generation Next, the couple summed it up with two keywords: Experience and Expertise. “We chose Generation Next Fertility because out of all the other fertility practices we looked at, we were most confident with GNF after our initial consultation. It seemed clear to us that in choosing this practice, we would be getting the best professional help possible. Of course, it didn’t hurt that we just really liked Dr. Luk, too!”

Dr. Janelle Luk and the rest of the team at Generation Next Fertility know how important it is to recognize each patient’s identity and unique needs when receiving medical treatment. This is something their patients are noticing. “It’s a very supportive atmosphere, which is needed as it’s a very intense process. As a non-binary person, I’m impressed with the excellent and (seemingly effortless) protocols the doctors and staff have around my care — from simple language choice to concerns unique to my body. I feel very comfortable and that goes a long way.”

These GNF patients also have some advice for other members of the LGBTQ+ community looking to start their fertility journey: “Make sure you choose a reproductive specialist that you really like and feel confident in, because you will be spending a lot of time in their office! GNF is a long commute for us, but we knew that when we decided on Generation Next Fertility. We have no regrets about that. We’re in the right hands!”
