K-9 killer shot down

A Florida felon shot and killed a police dog while running away from cops, who then gunned him down, according to reports.

Lake Wales police said they got a call at 5 a.m. Wednesday from a woman who said Earnest Borders had yanked her out of a car, choked her and fired a gun before fleeing.

Police set up a perimeter and sent out their K-9, Max, to track Borders down.

The pooch quickly picked up the crook’s scent and clamped down on his ankle.

Borders pulled out his firearm and fatally shot Max at point-blank range, police said.
