INSIDE THE MATCHUPS
METS: Walker’s streak of eight consecutive quality starts came to an end on Sunday — barely — when he was pulled with two outs in the sixth in Miami. He still held the Marlins to three runs on seven hits, with two walks and four strikeouts, as he picked up the win. He still finished July with a sub-3.00 ERA for the second consecutive month.
BRAVES: Anderson followed one of his worst starts of 2022 with one of his best. Last Saturday, he tossed six innings of one-hit ball against the visiting Diamondbacks, striking out nine and walking one, less than a week after the Angels tagged him for seven runs over three innings.
