Weird true BUT

Rising temperatures are forcing lizards to do some scaling back.

According to a study, newborn lizards in France are being born with damaged DNA caused by extreme heat. The sun damage apparently causes the reptiles to age faster, which in turn shortens their life spans.

Well this dampened his spirit.

A man tried to lodge a complaint at a police station in Malaysia — but was told by cops there that he was actually dead.

It left the man, a funeralhome worker, shocked. He insisted he was very much alive, but just so happens to work with the dead.

The ghastly mix-up was apparently due to a records snafu.

If a tree explodes in Portland, does it make a sound?

Yes, according to Oregon residents, who recently heard a big boom when a 200-year-old tree blew up amid a brutal seven-day heatwave.

Trees can build up internal gases during extreme heat, which can cause them to erupt. The detonations are more common in large and old trees, scientists say.

Spiders, they’re just like us!

It turns out the eight-legged creatures seem to sleep — and might even have a REM cycle where they dream, too.

Research from Germany studied the arachnids’ overnight movements, finding that they mimicked humans in REM sleep.

But not everyone is convinced by the research to say whether it is definitely true.

It was a whopping error. Burger King accidentally emailed thousands of people just after midnight Tuesday thanking them for an order they never made.

The message included an empty receipt and sent those on the receiving end into a state of confusion.

The fast-food chain said an internal processing error caused the message.
