INSIDE THE MATCHUPS
METS: Walker had his worst start of this season on Friday, as the Braves tagged him for eight runs and seven hits before he could record a fourth out. To make matters worse, the righthander suffered an injury scare after catching his cleat as he pitched to Braves first baseman Matt Olson. He hasn’t fared much better against the Reds over his career, boasting a 1-1 record and 6.55 ERA in two appearances.
REDS: Zeuch, a 6-foot-7 righty, is expected to start Wednesday’s game. In five starts for the Louisville Bats, Cincinnati’s Triple-A affiliate, he has posted a 3.63 ERA over 22 ¹/3 innings. His last start was his best of the season, as he struck out a career-high 12 batters.
