Vic kin: Get out of town, students

The sister of one of the four slaughtered University of Idaho students has urged their classmates to leave the college town for their safety — as police admitted that there’s a potential threat to the school community.

“If you have friends, family, or loved ones in Moscow our family encourages you to get them home. Police say ‘isolated, targeted attack’ but it is isolated until it isn’t,” Kaylee Goncalves’ sister, Autumn, wrote on Instagram.

“No one is in custody therefore no one is safe,” the younger sister added.

‘Still out there’

Kaylee, 21, was found butchered along with fellow students Ethan Chapin, 20; Madison Mogen, 21; and Xana Kernodle, 20, at an offcampus house in Moscow on Sunday.

“Whoever did this ... is still out there and if he is sick enough to murder FOUR sweet, innocent humans so brutally, he is sick enough to do it to anyone else,” Autumn wrote.

She said her family had dreaded finding out how Kaylee was killed and that “no matter the answer we wouldn’t like it.

“But we got back the worst possible answer. The most gruesome way. One person against four,” she wrote.

Walked back

She also blasted authorities for initially declaring that the vicious crime posed no threat to the community.

“This person is dangerous and he is not in custody!!! how police say ‘no threat’ MAKES NO SENSE,” Autumn continued, adding that “no one is safe, please get your loved ones home.”

Moscow Police Chief James Fry on Wednesday night walked back the department’s previous assertion that the community wasn’t in danger.

“We cannot say that there is no threat to the community and as we have stated, please stay vigilant, report any suspicious activity and be aware of your surroundings at all times,” Fry warned.

The chief reiterated that investigators believe the incident was an isolated and targeted attack, saying they are still hunting for a suspect or suspects, as well as a murder weapon and motive.
