Peltz: Planners threw low blow

-

NICOLA Peltz’s wedding planners offered “no services of value” — and are painting the heiress in an “extremely negative light” by dragging her into their lawsuit against her dad, billionaire Nelson Peltz, according to the latter’s newest court filing. Peltz, 80, is suing Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba of Miami eventplanning firm Plan Design Events for the $159,000 deposit he paid — before firing the pair eight days later. According to the planners’ countersuit, the mega-investor sacked them just six weeks before his daughter’s star-studded, $3 million wedding to Brooklyn Beckham at the Peltzes’ sprawling Palm Beach estate in April last year. The latest filing by Peltz in Miami court claims he “justifiably” wants a refund, while the events duo has refused to return the money. The wedding planners are “asking for even more money for services that [they] did not provide,” according to the papers, seen by Page Six. Peltz is also arguing to have his daughter, 28, and his wife, Claudia, removed from Braghin and Grijalba’s countersuit, stating the planners were in business with him alone. The countersuit alleges it’s all a “good old-fashioned shakedown.” A source told Page Six: “Plan Design Event’s decision to target Nicola in her first year of marriage is nothing short of deplorable, especially when the facts show that she had nothing to do with the agreements made with [the firm].” The source said Peltz isn’t litigious — he’s just a loving father. The Peltzes threw a three-day wedding extravaganza at their $103 million estate for 500 guests. PDE has not returned our request for comment.
