NBA: Curry scores 50 but Clips win

Kawhi Leonard scored 30 points, Paul George had 24 and the Clippers overcame Stephen Curry’s 50-point night to beat the Warriors 134-124 in Los Angeles. The Clippers have won four straight to move into fifth place in the Western Conference.

Joel Embiid had 36 points and 18 rebounds and played the final 4:12 after initially being called for his sixth foul, leading the 76ers to their sixth straight victory, 118-109 over the Cavaliers in Cleveland. James Harden added 28 points and Tyrese Maxey had 23 for the Sixers.

In Miami, Bam Adebayo scored 26 points, Tyler Herro added 24 and the Heat enjoyed a rare easy win by topping the Grizzlies 138-119. Miami set a seasonhigh for points, and it was only the sixth time — in 38 wins — that the Heat prevailed by more than 10 points.

GOLF: LIV Golf gets trademark suit

A famed Florida nightclub is seeking to block the LIV Golf League from registerin­g the name as a trademark with a lawsuit, the Palm Beach Post reported.

The LIV nightclub, which was founded in 2008 in the Fontainebl­eau Miami Beach luxury hotel along the area’s Millionair­e’s Row, contends in its notice of opposition that the upstart golf league’s trademarks are “visually, phonetical­ly, and aurally similar and the goods/services share similariti­es.”
