Fashion Law still on patrol

-

CELEB stylist Law Roach’s name was trending on Twitter when he dramatically announced this week that he was retiring — with no real explanation besides vague assertions on Instagram that “the lies and false narratives finally got me!” Sources told Page Six that the retirement wouldn’t be for long, and Roach seemed to confirm the tips when he announced a day after “retiring” that he’d continue to be associated with top client Zendaya. But maybe he’s moving into modeling? After his post, he made his runway debut in a Boss show with Pamela Anderson, DJ Khaled, Amber Valletta and Naomi Campbell in Miami. Roach told Vogue, “I’m grateful that the Boss team sees me as more than just someone who dresses all these amazing celebrities . . . I’m not saying I’m retiring from fashion. I love fashion. I love the businesses, and I love being creative. What I’m retiring from is the celebrity styling part of it: being in service and at service of other people.” He has dressed Kerry Washington, Hailee Steinfeld, Priyanka Chopra, Ariana Grande and many more. “My clients are my priority, more so than my own health and happiness,” he told Vogue. “And, in my mind, you know, I was [announcing my retirement] just to relieve some pressure for myself, right?” He added, “It was really me giving myself the grace to say: It’s OK. You can do something else.” He’d allegedly been seen in an awkward exchange with Zendaya at Paris fashion week, which some surmised was the reason he was hanging up his steamer.
