‘Girls Trip’ gone bad: suit
CAROLINE Manzo is suing Bravo over the incident in which Brandi Glanville allegedly sexually harassed her during the filming of the network’s “Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip,” The Post’s Francesca Bacardi and Evan Real report.
And Manzo says the incident wasn’t a oneoff — she claims that the network’s producers “regularly ply the Real Housewives cast with alcohol, cause them to become severely intoxicated, and then direct, encourage and/or allow them to sexually harass other cast members because that is good for ratings.”
After Manzo filed the suit, a rep for Glanville told us it contains “defamatory, false accusations,” adding, “There was no sexual assault. She is innocent of these absurd accusations.”
The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” alum claims producers working for reality giant Bravo and sister streamer Peacock encouraged Glanville to harass her while filming in Morocco.
Manzo, 62, claims in her lawsuit that the former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star forced herself on her and kissed her without consent. Glanville “proceeded to mount Manzo on the couch, holding Manzo down with her body, forcibly squeezed Manzo’s cheeks together and thrust her tongue in Manzo’s mouth, while humping her,” court documents state, adding that the incident resurfaced Manzo’s “dormant and horrific memories” of her sexual assault that took place when she was 7 years old.
Notably, Manzo isn’t suing Glanville; she’s going after Bravo, production and showrunners for allegedly encouraging Glanville’s “sexually offensive and harassing content.”
The suit alleges sexual harassment, discrimination and battery, among other things that Manzo says violate laws in California and New York.
“We are outraged by Bravo, Peacock and NBC’s conduct and look forward to having the issues decided by a jury,” Manzo’s attorney, Derek Smith, said in a statement to Page Six.
Bravo and Peacock declined to comment.
