QUEEN OF FLOP

Madge goes sprawling in chair-dance mishap

- By JACK HOBBS

She backed up to the beat a little too far.

Madonna shocked her Seattle audience over the weekend when the Queen of Pop toppled over while in a chair during one of her performances at Climate Pledge Arena.

In a video obtained by TMZ, the singer, 65, sits on a chair during her performance of “Open Your Heart,” and a dancer then attempts to drag the chair down a long section of the stage.

However, the choreography fails when the dancer loses control of the chair, causing them both to fall over on their backs.

Seemingly stunned by the mishap, the Material Girl momentarily lies on the ground before hopping to her feet and resuming the show as if nothing had happened.

‘Took down Madonna’

The fall had fans atwitter on X. “Somebody getn fired,” one user joked, while a second person sneered, “Grandma is gonna be sore in the morning.”

A third user chided, “This guy will never be remembered for anything other than the fact that he took down Madonna.”

In a video posted to TikTok, Madonna appears to smile as she looks up at the dancer after the mishap.

Several X users were surprised she seemed to laugh off the incident.

“She laughed. 20 years ago she would sacked him on the spot!! love her,” one fan said.

“At least she laughed & has a sense of humor,” responded a second person.

This is not the first time that the chairs used in the “Celebration” tour — which was paused over the summer after Madonna spent several days in the ICU with a bacterial infection — have caused trouble.

It was reported by TMZ that Madge might have been placed on Santa Claus’ naughty list after a man dressed as Jolly St. Nick took a tumble while receiving a lap dance from one of the singer’s dancers during a Washington, DC, stop in December.

Madonna herself has also been the subject of previous nasty falls, her most memorable one being at the 2015 Brit Awards — the UK version of the Grammys — when the singer, who was performing her tune “Living for Love,” actually fell off the stage.

Madonna’s huge cape, which appeared to get snagged by one of her dancers, pulled the then-56year-old singer backward and caused her to tumble down a mini flight of stairs.

The sound of her hitting the ground was audible and sent gasps around The 02 Arena.

Despite her tumble, though, Madonna continued with her matador-themed performance, and the crowd screamed its appreciation.

‘I’m fine!’

Following the performance, she took to Instagram to explain what happened and reassure her fans.

“My beautiful cape was tied too tight!” she wrote, noting that it was by Armani.

“But nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up! Thanks for your good wishes! I’m fine!”
