REBECCA'S A-LIST WHO-SPEWED-IT
Guess the jerk co-star Ferguson was in 2019’s “Doctor Sleep” with McGregor, 52. One commentator said: “I’m gonna say it could be Ewan McGregor in Doctor Sleep — worked on a film with him and he has a huge ego. Plus she had a ton of screen time to the po
Who made Rebecca Ferguson’s life hell?
The Swedish actress, 40, best known for the “Mission: Impossible” films, “The Greatest Showman” and the “Dune” franchise, recounted a heated exchange she had with a costar during an appearance on the “Reign With Josh Smith” podcast.
“I did a film with an absolute idiot of a co-star and it doesn’t matter who it was. I’m going to try and not give this away,” she said.
“I remember there was a moment when this human being was being so insecure and angry because this person couldn’t get the scenes out,” Ferguson shared. “And I think I was so vulnerable and uncomfortable that I got screamed at.
“But because this person was No. 1 on a call sheet, there was no safety net for me. So no one had my back. And I would cry walking off set.”
“This person would literally look at me in front of the whole crew and say, ‘You call yourself an actor?’ ‘This is what I have to work with?’ and ‘What the f--k is this?’ in front of the whole crew. I stood there just breaking,” she revealed in the episode released Tuesday.
Ferguson said that no one spoke up to defend her on set, which prompted her to stand up for herself.
“I remember being so scared,” she said. “I looked at this person and I said, ‘You can f--k off.’ ”
Ferguson added that this happened “within my last 10 or 12 years” — which has sparked some wild speculation, including:
Tom Cruise
Cruise, 61, was Ferguson’s “Mission Impossible” co-star starting with 2015’s “Rogue Nation.”
“I genuinely suspect it was Tom Cruise,” one Internet detective posted on X.
However, in her interview, Ferguson clarified that it was not Tom Cruise — and she also ruled out “Greatest Showman” co-star Hugh Jackman.
Michael Fassbender
Fassbender, 46, starred in infamous 2017 box-office bomb “The Snowman”
alongside Ferguson. Many fans speculated that he could be the one.
“It’s Michael Fassbender yall,” one commenter declared.
Still, he did have some defenders. “To everyone saying Fassbender, Ferguson did plenty of publicity interviews with him and they seemed to get along really well. No way it’s him,” another web detective said.
Emily Blunt
Blunt, 41, starred with Ferguson in the 2016 thriller “The Girl on the Train.”
“Why is everyone assuming it’s a dude?” one fan pointed out.
But another defended Blunt: “Logged into accusations that emily blunt was rebecca ferguson’s bully meanwhile rebecca was in interviews calling emily her lesbian lady lover.”
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
Johnson, 51, starred in the 2014 movie “Hercules” with Ferguson. He took to X to weigh in himself.
“Hate seeing this but love seeing her stand up to bulls--t. Rebecca was my guardian angel sent from heaven on our set. I love that woman. I’d like to find out who did this,” he posted.
Still, many fans speculated that he was just saying that to throw the scent off himself.
Ewan McGregor Hugh Grant
Ferguson was in the 2016 movie “Florence Foster Jenkins” with Grant, 63. The largest number of social-media sleuths pointed fingers at the “Notting Hill” star.
“I’ll bet it was Hugh Grant, I’ve read stuff about him being really rude and hard to work with. He’s even said himself that his female costars probably hate him,” one fan wrote.
