Hunter Blames the Crack: ‘I Was Stoned’ Is No Excuse
THE ISSUE: First Son Hunter Biden’s testimony that he lied about proximity to his father during business deals.
Whether Hunter Biden was stoned sky-high and President Biden was sitting next to him is irrelevant (“Hunter’s $5.1M ‘high’ crimes,” Feb. 29).
He was lucid enough to leverage his dad’s name to try to gain an advantage during the shakedown. This whole incident underscores the type of “business” Hunter, Joe and the rest of the Biden family syndicate was running. Without daddy Joe there was no business.
If the Biden business was legitimate, why would Hunter need to invoke his dad’s name in the first place? Wouldn’t the family go out of its way to avoid any hint of impropriety?

There comes a point when the credibility of the witness becomes nonexistent. The accused is well-coached and regardless of the format (closed- or open-door hearings), he’s driving the narrative with his manipulative behavior.

Like the Kennedys, the Biden family has had more than its fair share of tragedy. But that should not be an excuse to engage in illegal and questionable behavior and use the aforementioned difficulties as a crutch for everything that Hunter has done.
I can speak of any number of people in my wife’s family and my own who have endured great difficulty at one time or another — and as far as I know, no one in either of our extended families sank to the levels
that we have seen in this case.
Yeah, I know: “Walk a mile in my shoes.” But there is something to be said for that English expression of a bygone era, “stiff upper lip, and all that.”

Oops! I robbed a bank. Oops! I sold drugs. Oops! I killed somebody. My bad, I was just high. Really? This is the narrative the Biden organization is trying to push?
It’s all smoke and mirrors, not a viable excuse, and should not be taken seriously. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this ridiculous charade.

If Hunter Biden did not involve his father in his business, as he averred in his testimony, then why did he write to Henry Zhao, “I am sitting here with my father”?

Like his father, Hunter Biden continues to insult our intelligence. Regardless of his physical and psychological condition,
he still used his father’s name to secure money.
The gall of this pampered and privileged man is shocking. And shame on those bootlicking elected officials who conduct the lame press briefings denying any illicit activity.

Hunter Biden’s defense regarding the message he sent to the Chinese executive was that he was high and “made it up.” He testified to Congress to that effect.
Well, I have perused the message, and it seems to me that a person under the influence could not have written a more clear and distinct request for $5 million. The reference to Hunter’s father sitting next to him, whether he was or wasn’t, clearly has a very threatening tone.
Also, does anyone believe that a Chinese executive would fork over $5 million — as congressional investigators have found did occur — to a crack addict? Hunter and the Biden family are withholding the truth. Richard A. Ketay
