SOCCER: Red Bulls earn road win

Elias Manoel scored late in the first half, Lewis Morgan had a second-half goal and the Red Bulls rallied to beat the Houston Dynamo 2-1 in Houston. The Red Bulls (1-0-1) grabbed the lead in the 59th minute when Morgan took a pass from Sean Nealis and scored for his first tally since 2022. It was the first win for new manager Sandro Schwarz.

In St. Louis, Célio Pompeu and Samuel Adeniran each scored a goal to help St. Louis City beat New York City FC 2-0. NYCFC (0-2-0), which lost 1-0 to Nashville in its opener, is scoreless this season. NHL: Predators win 8th in a row
