BIDEN’S SORRY EXCUSE

Regrets for ‘killer’

- By NIKKI MASCALI ROARTY

President Biden sparked outrage Saturday as he apologized in an interview for using the word “illegal” to describe Laken Riley’s alleged killer during his State of the Union address, but failed to mention that he butchered the murder victim’s name twice as “Lincoln Riley” during the same speech.

“Today, President Trump honored Laken Riley, while Joe Biden apologized for calling the animal who murdered her an illegal,” tweeted Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), who demanded during the address that Biden say Riley’s name. “It’s despicable.” Utah Sen. Mike Lee blasted Biden’s comments as too little too late.

“Biden’s word choice doesn’t change the fact that Laken Riley’s killer (1) entered the U.S. illegally, having been encouraged to do so by Biden’s open-border policies, & (2) later killed Laken Riley,” the Republican posted on social media. “Regardless of what euphemisms Biden uses, he enabled Laken Riley’s murderer.”

The comment also outraged average voters on social media.

“He just lost my vote,” said an X user named @soulsurvivoraz

During an interview with MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart, Biden satisfied the Democratic Party’s far left by expressing remorse for using the term “illegal” about José Antonio Ibarra, the alleged killer of Riley, a

Georgia nursing student.

“And look, when I spoke about the difference between Trump and me, one of the things I talked about . . . was . . . the way he talks about vermin, the way he talks about these people polluting the blood.”

“I’m not going to treat any, any, any of these people with disrespect. Look, they built the country. The reason our economy is growing. We have to control the border and more orderly flow, but I don’t share his view at all,” Biden said.

‘An illegal’

“So, you regret using that word?” Capehart asked. “Yes,” Biden responded. Biden used the term “illegal” instead of “undocumented” during Thursday’s address while pressing Republicans to pass a bipartisan border security deal that fell apart after Trump opposed it.

Greene, a Trump ally, shouted at the president to say the name of Riley, 22, who was murdered Feb. 22, adding she was killed “by an illegal.”

“By an illegal, that’s right,” responded Biden, before asking how many people are being killed by “legals.”

Ibarra, 26, a Venezuelan citizen who entered the United States illegally in 2022, is being held without bond on charges of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated battery, kidnapping and other counts related to Riley’s death.
