Texans trade for Bengals RB

The Texans are acquiring running back Joe Mixon from the Cincinnati Bengals, a person familiar with the deal told the Associated Press on Tuesday.

The person spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the trade hasn’t been finalized. Mixon will replace Devin Singletary, who has agreed to a deal with the Giants.

The Texans are sending an undisclose­d draft pick to the Bengals to keep Mixon off the open market. He’ll join Dameon Pierce in the Houston backfield.

The Bengals also agreed on a one-year deal with tight end Mike Gesicki.

RAVENS: Four-time Pro Bowler Derrick Henry agreed to a two-year deal with the Ravens, a person with knowledge of the contract told the AP.

STEELERS: Pittsburgh is luring inside linebacker Patrick Queen away from rival Baltimore. The Steelers and the second-team All-Pro have agreed to a three-year deal worth $41 million, sources said.

PANTHERS: Carolina gave quarterbac­k Bryce Young the No. 1 wide receiver he’s been lacking, acquiring Diontae Johnson from the Steelers for cornerback Donte Jackson. The Steelers will get Carolina’s pick at No. 178 while the Panthers will get Pittsburgh’s selection at No. 240, sources said.

TEXANS: Houston has agreed with four-time Pro Bowl edge rusher Danielle Hunter on a $49 million, two-year contract, a source told the AP. The source said Hunter is getting $48 million guaranteed.

BROWNS: Cleveland agreed to a oneyear deal with Jameis Winston to back up Deshaun Watson that’s worth up to $8.7 million, a person with knowledge of the negotiatio­ns told the AP. The Browns also agreed with former Bills running back Nyheim Hines to a oneyear deal worth up to $3.5 million, a source said.

DOLPHINS: Outside linebacker Shaquil Barrett agreed to a one-year, $9 million deal with Miami after five seasons in Tampa Bay.

BILLS: Buffalo reached an agreement

to re-sign veteran defensive lineman DaQuan Jones to a two-year contract.

COMMANDERS: Washington agreed with Marcus Mariota on a oneyear contract with a base salary of $6 million that can be worth up to $10 million, according to a source.
