He’s got a license to kill, but he’s still taking the heat.
“James Bond” star Pierce Brosnan pleaded guilty Thursday to hiking in a restricted thermal area of Yellowstone National Park after he was outed on an online account dedicated to exposing “stupid” tourists.
The Irish actor, 70, was ordered to pay about $1,500 to the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Wyoming, the prosecutors said.
The payment includes a $1,000 community service contribution to the Yellowstone Forever Geological Fund, as well as a $500 fine, a $30 court processing fee and a $10 special assessment fee.
Brosnan previously pleaded guilty to trespassing charges related to the Nov. 1, 2023, incident, during which he was pictured posing in an off-limits thermal area of the majestic park.
He was heckled on the Tourons of Yellowstone Instagram account, which exposes moronic tourists — or “tourons” — violating the park’s rules.
As part of the new plea deal unveiled Thursday, additional citations against Brosnan for violating closures and use limits were dropped.
The US Attorney’s Office had asked the court to sentence Brosnan to two years’ probation and a maximum fine of $5,000.
Brosnan — who reversed his initial plea by calling into this week’s hearing, per The New York Times — also issued an apology on his Instagram.
He called the November gaffe an “impulsive mistake” and described himself as an environmentalist with “the utmost respect for and love of our natural world.”
“I did not see a ‘No Trespassing’ sign posted that warned of danger nor did I hike in the immediate area,” he explained, alongside the hashtag “#StayOnThePath.” Brosnan was visiting the national park for pleasure and not work at the time of the photo in question, officials previously said. He was recently spotted filming a Western titled “Unholy Trinity” around the Yellowstone Film Ranch in Montana, Entertainment Weekly reported.
