NHL: Devils can’t contain Eichel

Jack Eichel scored his 21st goal of the season and the Golden Knights beat the Devils 3-1 on Sunday in Las Vegas. After the Devils took a 1-0 lead 38 seconds into the third period on a Nico Hischier goal, the Golden Knights scored the next three goals.

In Pittsburgh, Sidney Crosby matched Wayne Gretzky for the seventhmos­t goals with a single franchise in NHL history (583), and the Penguins beat the Red Wings, 6-3.

In Ottawa, Ontario, Dmitry Orlov had two goals and two assists, and the Hurricanes scored four times in the third period to beat the Senators, 7-2.

NBA: Lillard, Portis lead Bucks

Damian Lillard had 31 points and 16 assists and Bobby Portis had 31 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Bucks past the Suns, 140129, in Milwaukee. The Bucks hit 24 3-pointers to win without Giannis Antetokoun­mpo, who sat out with left hamstring soreness

In Orlando, Fla., Paolo Banchero scored 29 points and the Magic pulled away from Toronto for a 111-96 victory.

In Dallas, Kyrie Irving hit a running left-handed shot at the buzzer, capping a wild final 26 seconds and giving the Mavericks a 107-105 victory over the Nuggets.

In Detroit, Bam Adebayo made a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift the Heat to a 104-101 win over the Pistons.

NFL: Browns add QB depth

Cleveland agreed to terms on a one-year contract with former Ravens QB Tyler Huntley, adding another veteran to give them more depth behind Deshaun Watson.

Huntley is signing at the veteran’s minimum salary with the Browns, who spent last season juggling quarterbac­ks when Watson hurt his shoulder and eventually had surgery after making just six starts. Joe Flacco, who is currently unsigned, memorably signed as a free agent in November to lead Cleveland to the playoffs. ETC.: Alcaraz topples Medvedev

Carlos Alcaraz defeated Daniil Medvedev 7-6 (5), 6-1 for the second straight year in the BNP Paribas Open final in Indian Wells, Calif., earning his first title since winning Wimbledon last year.

Iga Swiatek beat Maria Sakkari 6-4, 6-0 in just over an hour to win the women’s title, with Swiatek losing just 21 games in six matches during the 12-day tournament — an average of 3.5 games per match.

Ohio State removed the interim tag from men’s basketball coach Jake Diebler’s title and announced he will receive a five-year contract.

Diebler, 37, took over the team following Chris Holtmann’s firing on Feb. 14. The Buckeyes (21-13) went 6-2 under Diebler.

Denny Hamlin won the NASCAR Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee, passing Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Martin Truex Jr. in the final laps for his fourth victory at the famed short track. Brad Keselowski finished third, Alex Bowman was fourth and Kyle Larson rounded out the top five.

Amad scored in stoppage time of extra time to send host Manchester United into the semifinals of the FA Cup with a dramatic 4-3 win against Liverpool.
