NBA: Philly tops Harden, Clippers

Tobias Harris scored 24 points and Tyrese Maxey added 19 of his 24 in the second half of the 76ers’ 121-107 victory over James Harden and the Clippers on Sunday.

Harden had 12 points and 14 assists in his first game against the 76ers since he forced his way out of Philadelph­ia last November. The two teams play again on Wednesday in Philadelph­ia.

● In Milwaukee, Giannis Antetokoun­mpo had 30 points and a season-high 19 rebounds, Khris Middleton recorded his second career triple-double and the Bucks trounced the Thunder, 118-93. The loss knocked Oklahoma City out of the Western Conference lead.

● In Miami, Haywood Highsmith scored 18 points, part of a 59-point effort by Miami’s reserves, and the Heat pummeled visiting Cleveland, 121-84. The Cavaliers remain No. 3 in the East, a half-game ahead of the Knicks.

● In Minneapoli­s, Anthony Edwards scored 23 points and made 3 of 4 free throws in the final 12 seconds for Minnesota in a victory over Golden State, 114-110. Stephen Curry scored 31 points for the Warriors.

NCAA: Star RB arrested for DUI

Georgia running back Trevor Etienne was arrested early Sunday on drunken driving, reckless driving and other charges, jail records show.

Etienne, the Bulldogs’ projected starting running back, was booked into the AthensClar­k County Jail at 4:35 a.m. and released less than an hour later on bonds totaling about $1,800. The other charges include failure to maintain a lane or improper driving as well as affixing materials that reduce visibility through the windows or windshield, according to the records.

NHL: Ovechkin’s 2 goals lead Caps

Alex Ovechkin scored twice to reach 26 goals this season, Charlie Lindgren stopped all 27 shots he faced and the Capitals beat the Jets 3-0 in Washington to move back into a playoff position.

Ovechkin’s two goals have him 46 behind Wayne Gretzky’s career goals record.

● In Raleigh, N.C., Brady Skjei and Sebastian Aho scored as the Hurricanes beat the Maple Leafs, 2-1, for their sixth win in seven games.

● In Denver, Jonathan Drouin scored his second goal of the game 54 seconds into overtime, and Colorado rallied from a four-goal deficit to beat Pittsburgh, 5-4, for its ninth straight win.

● In Philadelph­ia, Sam Reinhart scored two goals to reach 50 on the season and the Panthers snapped a four-game losing streak with a 4-1 victory over the Flyers.

ETC.: USMNT claim Nations League

Goals by Tyler Adams and Gio Reyna led the U.S. men’s national team to a 2-0 victory over Mexico in the final of the CONCACAF Nations League in Arlington, Texas, for a third consecutiv­e title.

Adams scored in the 45th minute and Reyna extended the lead in the 63rd.

● Peter Malnati made a late birdie on his way to a 4-under 67 to win the Valspar Championsh­ip in Palm Harbor, Fla., and earn his first trip to the Masters. Cameron Young was two strokes behind.

● William Byron started on pole and delivered a dominant drive to win NASCAR’s first road course race of the season at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.

Christophe­r Bell was second while Ty Gibbs, Alex Bowman, and Tyler Reddick rounded out the top five finishers.
