Joe’s time in office is ‘a failure’

- Jorge Fitz-Gibbon

Nearly two-thirds of registered voters consider Joe Biden’s presidency to be a failure so far, with Donald Trump continuing to hold a comfortable lead in the race for the White House, a CNN poll said.

The poll conducted by SSRS and released Sunday found 49% of registered voters backed Trump over Biden’s 43% in a head-tohead matchup, the network reported.

Biden’s number was at 45% as recently as January.

The poll also found that 61% of registered voters who were questioned considered Biden’s presidency so far a failure, compared with 57% in January, while only 39% said it had been successful, a dip over the 41% approval from voters at the start of the year, the outlet said.

Some 17% said they don’t like Biden or Trump.

“Republicans now are more unified around the idea that Trump’s presidency was a success than Democrats are that Biden’s has been one,” CNN said. “Overall, 92% of Republicans call Trump’s time in office a success while just 73% of Democrats say Biden’s has been a success so far. Among independents, 51% say Trump’s presidency was successful while only 37% see Biden’s as a success.”

Voters gave Biden particularly low scores on the economy and inflation, with 34% and 29% ratings, respectively — with 62% of those who say the economy is “deeply important” leaning for Trump.
