$400K ‘rager’ for flag-saving frat

A fundraiser to throw a “rager” for the University of North CarolinaChapel Hill fraternity brothers who protected the Stars and Stripes from an anti-Israel mob this week has raised $400,000.

And billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman is a fan — donating $10,000 to the cause.

The GoFundMe contribution will help throw the patriotic pack of Pi Kappa Phi members “the party they deserve,” the description on the fundraising site said.

The kingly sum has left the frat brothers “overwhelmed by you glorious, Patriotic Americans who value good beer and great times,” the organizers wrote.

The frat also said it had been in touch with other fraternities who helped defend the flag Tuesday when anti-Israel protesters sought to replace it with the Palestinian flag on the UNC campus.

The protest was one of dozens that’s rocked the nation over the last few weeks, as college kids demand the universities halt their support for Israel over the war in the Gaza Strip.

But when demonstrators tried to pull down the American flag during a confrontation with counter-protesters, Pi Kappa Phi stepped into the fray.

“When we went in, we said, we will not let the headline of this day be ‘An American flag falls at UNC,’ ” freshman Jason Calderon, who helped others hold up the flag, told CBS 17.

Dan Stompel, one of the students who stood against the mob, told Fox News he and others endured profane language and gestures — as well as the flying debris — during their campaign.

“I don’t understand how people can act like this,” Stompel said. “We’re looking at every direction. If stuff was flying in, we would say, ‘Heads up.’ We would cover each other. We would look out for other people.

“It was a beautiful moment,” he added. “Nice, normal, strong boys protecting America’s flag — there’s nothing more patriotic, nothing more genuine, nothing more inspiring than that.”

Cops later arrested three dozen protesters.

“Commie losers across the country have invaded college campuses to make dumb demands of weak university administrators,” the GoFundMe organizers wrote in the fundraiser’s tongue-incheek description. “But amidst the chaos, the screaming, the antisemitism, the hatred of faith and flag, stood a platoon of American heroes.”

Later that day, Old Glory was hoisted back to her lofty heights as students chanted “USA, USA.”

School officials have reportedly erected a barricade around the flag to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Some social media users marveled at the group’s bravery.

“Just when I was losing faith in the little anti-semitic spoiled brats on college campuses, a group of young patriots restores my faith in the next group of American voters,” ex-Trump press secretary Sean Spicer said on X.
