PLEA DEALS FOR ‘COP-BEATERS’

- By DESHEANIA ANDREWS and PATRICK REILLY

Six of the migrants charged with viciously attacking two NYPD officers in Times Square in January were offered plea deals Tuesday as a Manhattan judge revealed one of the accused copbeaters was arrested again while out on bail.

Yohenry Brito, 24 — remanded after his initial arrest — was nabbed for petit larceny last week after an activist Brooklyn priest posted his $15,000 cash bail in February, Judge Laura Wood said in Manhattan Criminal Court Tuesday.

“I am furious that Mr. Brito was rearrested and charged with petit larceny while he was out on this case,” Wood fumed as she warned that another slip-up would land him behind bars.

“I am very tempted right now to put you in jail. I am telling you right now, if I learn you are re-arrested for anything at all between now and this case being finished, I will order a warrant and I will place bail so high you will not get out,” she continued.

“If you jaywalk, if you jump a turnstile, if you do anything at all and I have to issue a warrant, you will not see the light of day until this case is over,” Wood declared.

She asked if Brito understood, to which he replied “yes” after the comments were translated to him via an interpreter.

Brito allegedly tried to steal children’s clothing and “fragrances” from Macy’s Herald Square flagship store Friday night, according to a criminal complaint.

He was charged with misdemeanor petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

A Manhattan judge then set him free at his Saturday arraignment in the case — despite the DA’s Office requesting $10,000 cash bail.

News of Brito’s re-arrest came as he, Ulises Bohorquez, 21, and Andres Gomez-Izquiel, 19, were offered plea deals by the DA.

Under the proposed deal, the trio would serve a year in jail in exchange for pleading guilty to second-degree assault.

Two other migrants charged in the cop attack, Kelvin Servita Arocha, 19, and Wilson Juarez, 21, have been offered separate deals to serve six months in prison for pleading guilty to obstructing a government administration.

And prosecutors have also offered Yorman Reveron, 24, a bargain that would send him to prison for two years for pleading guilty to second-degree assault, according to the DA’s Office.

The defendants’ attorneys have not yet accepted the plea deals.

Wood ordered they return to court on June 18 where a trial date will be set if no deal is reached.

An offer has not yet been made to 20-year-old Edgarlis Vegas.

Vegas was arrested in March on a warrant for a charge of assault on a police officer stemming from the Jan. 27 melee.

The Venezuelan woman was captured on surveillance video striking an officer with the back of her foot, prosecutors have said.

She was jailed on $25,000 bail in connection to the attack.

When cops busted her, Vegas allegedly admitted to being at the scene of the beatdown — but initially claimed she was “only watching the incident unfold.”

But her story changed — not once, but twice — when she was confronted with the surveillance footage, prosecutor have said.

Vegas at first allegedly told cops that she was trying to move the group of people milling about near Times Square and fell backward.

Then she offered an alternative account, claiming “she was kicking a different member of the group and may have accidentally kicked the officer,” Assistant DA Zachary Kotin told the judge.
