Po­lice iden­tify sus­pect in Chest­nut Hill Es­tates slay­ing, seek pub­lic’s help lo­cat­ing him

Po­lice have iden­ti­fied a sus­pect in the homi­cide of a man in Chest­nut Hill Es­tates ear­lier this month and are ask­ing the pub­lic’s help lo­cat­ing him.

Kalif Reeves, 20, is wanted on mur­der charges, ac­cord­ing to Master Cpl. Heather Carter, a spokes­woman for the New Cas­tle County Po­lice Depart­ment.

The slay­ing hap­pened just af­ter 2 a.m. March

9. Po­lice found the vic­tim, 22-year-old Wil­liam

Laws, near the in­ter­sec­tion of Au­gusta Drive and Malvern Road. He was taken to Chris­tiana Hos­pi­tal, where he died from a gun­shot wound to his torso.

Carter did not say how de­tec­tives de­vel­oped Reeves as a sus­pect, though she noted the FBI is as­sist­ing county po­lice with the in­ves­ti­ga­tion.
