Police identify suspect in Chestnut Hill Estates slaying, seek public’s help locating him
Police have identified a suspect in the homicide of a man in Chestnut Hill Estates earlier this month and are asking the public’s help locating him.
Kalif Reeves, 20, is wanted on murder charges, according to Master Cpl. Heather Carter, a spokeswoman for the New Castle County Police Department.
The slaying happened just after 2 a.m. March
9. Police found the victim, 22-year-old William
Laws, near the intersection of Augusta Drive and Malvern Road. He was taken to Christiana Hospital, where he died from a gunshot wound to his torso.
Carter did not say how detectives developed Reeves as a suspect, though she noted the FBI is assisting county police with the investigation.
