NewBark PawLooza: Satur­day, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Handloff Park, 1000 Barks­dale Road. Bring your dog and en­joy demon­stra­tions, ven­dors, ac­tiv­i­ties and con­tests. Dogs must be leashed, non-ag­gres­sive and up-to-date on their shots. Free.

His­tor­i­cal cer­e­mony: Sun­day, 1 p.m., at Lew­den Green Park, 398 Chris­tiana Road. The Pen­cader Her­itage Area As­so­ci­a­tion will un­veil a flag and sign hon­or­ing Lafayette’s con­tri­bu­tions to the Amer­i­can Rev­o­lu­tion.

Vet­er­ans ap­ple pie so­cial: Sun­day, 1 to 3 p.m., at the Judge Mor­ris Es­tate, White Clay Creek, 76 Polly Drum­mond Hill Road. Learn what it means to be a vet­eran and how to honor vet­er­ans for their ser­vice. Ap­ple pie and cof­fee will be served. Free. Call 302-368-6900 to reg­is­ter.

Main St. City coun­cil will hold a pub­lic hear­ing on the pro­posed 2019 bud­get.
