Perkasie’s cree till Brewing Co. opens its doors paturday

News-Herald (Perkasie, PA) - - OBITUARIES - By Jennifer Connor

Due to the drawn-out licensing process needed to open a brewery, Free Will Brewing Co., founded in 2010, wasn’t able to sell beer until January 2012.

Now, it is happy to open its doors Saturday, Aug. 18 from noon to 4 p.m. for the public to enjoy tastings and tours of the brewery. Growlers of their Citra, Pale Stout and Destiny’s Wit varieties will also be for sale ($5 for the growler, $10 for the beer; cash only).

Free Will Brewing Co. is located at 410 E. Walnut St., Perkasie, and has been acting as a production brewery to produce beer for sale at local bars and restaurants.

Dominic Capece, a 1998 gradu- ate of Souderton Area High School, and John Stemler, a 1996 graduate of Pennridge High School, founded the brewery in 2010.

Currently, their beer is available on tap at several local bars and restaurants, including the Perk, the Washington House and The Horse Tavern and Grill.

“TKLs Ls WKH firsW WLPH wH FDn bring in the public and show off what we’ve been doing,” Capece said. He added that a lot of people have tried Free Will Brewing Co.’s beers at local bars and restaurants and are curious to see where it comes from.

This open house acts a kickoff to what Capece said he believes will be bi-monthly open houses and Saturday tour days. The duo wanted to complete renovations of a tasting station before they opened up the establishment to the public, they said..

“This way people can enjoy the beer separate from where we actually brew the beer,” Capece said.

To stay in the know of future events, Capece suggests visiting the brewery’s website, www.freewillbrew, or following them on Twitter, @FreewillBrewing, or Facebook.
