• Storytime series for children are held at the Samuel Pierce branch of Bucks County Free Library, 491 Arthur Avenue, Perkasie.

Babies Love Books, for ages six to 24 months, features stories, song and activities 10:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays. THUULfiF TRGGOHUV, for ages two and three, is 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. or 11 to 11:30 a.m. Thursdays. Preschoolers story program, for ages four through six, is 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. Thursdays.

• In observance of Charles Dickens’ 200th birthday, Pearl S. Buck International will feature excerpts from Buck’s life and literature that demonstrate her connection to Dickens Wednesday, Sept. 12 through Sunday, Sept. 16 at the Pearl S. Buck International Welcome Center, 520 Dublin Road in Hilltown.
