North Penn rolls past Quakertown

North Penn, which has never lost in the Suburban One Continental ConferHQFH, sFRrHG RQ LWs firsW sLx possessions and led 42-0 by halftime en route to its 30th consecutive conference vic- tory.
“We wanted to go about it very businesslike,” Knights coach Dick Beck said. “We didn’t want to relax. We’ve got to do what we do. I thought the kids did a nice job of focusing.”
North Penn’s scoring drives, respectively, took 12 seconds, 1:01, 1:09, 1:03, 45 seconds and 1:01.

“I thought we had a good D-line and they really did a good job of penetrating,” Beck said. “I thought Khalil Littlejohn is starting to play a little bit better. I think we’ve got a good rotation up front with the four guys that we’re starting, with Littlejohn, George Shipp, Derek Brandt and Jesse Cook.
Littlejohn recorded a sack and forced a fumble, and Brandt had a fumble recovery. Lineman George Keating had a pair of sacks. Linebacker Ray Kulp also got to the quarterback.
The Panthers (1-4, 0-1) were undermanned as they visited one of the state’s premier teams. They’ve had so many players injured that they held open tryouts for quarterback a little over a week ago.
Austin Shearer and Mike Berstecher shared the snaps for North Penn (3-2, 2-0), which had 156 yards through the air. Berstecher hit Colton Pyne in the end zone from eight yards out early in the second quarter.
Tailback Chris McGinnis also scored a touchdown for the Knights. He followed up a 40-yard run with a 7-yard TD.
