Faith com­mu­ni­ties serve up meals for peo­ple im­pacted by hur­ri­cane

Area faith com­mu­ni­ties came to­gether this week­end to help out those fam­i­lies im­pacted by Hur­ri­cane Sandy

The Penn Val­ley Churches in Telford and Quak­er­town came to­gether at the Quak­er­town train sta­tion Sun­day, Nov. 4, to pro­vide meals to those who had lost food due to power out­ages. Us­ing food pro­vided by Tyson Foods Inc., church mem­bers grilled up chicken dinners, along with pre­par­ing frozen chicken and ac­com­pa­ni­ments the lo­cal hur­ri­cane vic­tims could come pick up.

Many stop by to pick up the food avail­able at the Hur­ri­cane Sandy re­lief event at the Quak­er­town train sta­tion Sun­day, Nov. 4.
