The Falcons’ final play began with Clark rolling left, but when he couldn’t find an open receiver, he rolled back to the right to buy more time or possibly find a running lane, and Class was able to track him down, make the tackle and end the Falcons’ comeback hopes.
“He’s an amazing player, an amazing kid,” Rams coach Randy Cuthbert said. “When you need big plays, he’s the guy you go to. Mike’s a special player. vou don’t see too many kids like that.”
After scoring 20 consecutive points, Pennsbury had closed to within 28-27, but an extra-point attempt off the left upright forced the Falcons to go for an onside kick, which they reccovered, but then the Pennridge defense came back to life after a rough fourth quarter and made the stop it needed.
