Call for board member’s resignation unfounded

-

To the Editor:

It is unfortunate that once again Mr. Cranford has seen fiW WR DWWDFN PH wLWK WKH VDPH old lies and now new allegations in his latest tirade. I use the word “lie” this time because Mr. Cranford continuHV WR dR HxDFWOy WKDW, HvHn after his accusations were answered and proven false. I wondered why I seem to be his main target, so I went to his website to search for the reason. Side note — A quick check with the solicitor verifiHd WKDW nR ODw wDV HvHr broken.

The “Ah-Ha” moment — It seems that there are current and former board members, candidates that ran for RIfiFH Dnd ORVW Dnd DW OHDVW one Pennridge School DisWrLFW HPSORyHH (2SHrDWLRnV 0DnDJHr 0r. LRHIflHr) Ln KLV membership and I’ve either written letters to the editor about or have been critical of the actions of some of WKRVH IRONV (DW OHDVW , NnRw wKy ,’P WKH WDrJHW nRw). , read Mr. Cranford’s entire website and while it makes statements like “supporting leaders” and “promoting constant improvement,” the one thing that stood out was that most of the articles, letters to the editor and videos are primarily about attacking others — nothing positive HxFHSW WKDW KH WRRN FrHdLW IRr the getting the middle school air conditioning started. Interesting on both points.

Mr. Cranford’s organization states “our mission is to improve the Pennridge community” by “holding our HOHFWHd RIfiFLDOV DFFRunWDEOH for the important decisions WKHy PDNH WKDW LnfluHnFH WKH Pennridge area.” A laudable effort to be sure, but:

1. Where was Mr. Cranford’s call for a resignation when Pennridge board PHPEHr 0rV. YDWHV (RnH RI KLV PHPEHrV) wDV finHd Ey the state for a board ethics violation?

2. Where was Mr. Cranford’s call for a resignation when the district bought the current maintenance buildLnJ (wLWK 0rV. YDWHV Rn WKH ERDrd) wLWKRuW EHLnJ SrRtected from soil contaminaWLRn (WDxSDyHrV SDLd IRr WKH VWudy Dnd rHPHdLDWLRn)?

3. Where was Mr. Cranford’s call for a resignation when the Pennridge School DLVWrLFW (WDxSDyHrV DJDLn) wDV finHd DSSrRxLPDWHOy $20,000 because the EPA issues were apparently overlooked by the facilities manDJHr, 0r. LRHIflHr (DnRWKHr RI KLV PHPEHrV)?

There are more docuPHnWHd HxDPSOHV WR EH VurH, but this latest rant brings to mind words and phrases like “bias,” “smear campaign” and “sour grapes.” And since I’m not a member of his organization, I apparently don’t get the “immunity pass” his people get. Perhaps he’s still smarting RvHr WKH ODFN RI FRnfidHnFH the public gave him in the last campaign. No matter, my facts were correct, I did not lie and my efforts are based solely on “doing the rLJKW WKLnJ” WR WKH HxWHnW that I could to assist efforts to have projects done properly and economically with the end result being the studHnWV’ EHnHfiW HLWKHr SKyVLFDOOy (VWudHnW DFWLvLWLHV) Rr finDnFLDOOy (dROODrV VDvHd IRr WKH FODVVrRRP).

With regard to his latest rant about the Bedminster Elementary paving project, it’s apparent that he’s once again defending one of his own in spite of the facts. Stay tuned, I’m not done yet.

One last comment — because of you and your tirades, Bill, I’m told that a local citizen and businessman (SHrKDSV RnH RI PDny?) wKR only wanted to help our district is now not likely to get involved.

It is you who should resign, Bill, you’re making your coalition and the Pennridge School District look bad.
