The Central Bucks East JLrOV EDVNHWEDOO WHDP fiJurHd out a way to nearly neutralize North Penn’s inside presence, Lauren Crisler.

But the Patriots didn’t fiJurH RuW D wDy WR VWRS WhH Maidens’ Vicky Tumasz. Nor did they know how to offset the offense provided by the depth of North Penn.

Tumasz led the Maidens with 16 points and the bench combined for 14 more as the Maidens remained unbeaten with a 47-37 win over CB East. North Penn is now 3-0 in the Suburban One’s Continental Conference and 6-0 overall, while the Pats dropped to 1-2 in league play and 3-3 overall.

While the Patriots were holding Crisler, who is averDJLnJ Ln dRuEOH fiJurHV DJDLn WhLV VHDVRn, WR RnOy RnH fiHOd goal and six points, it was the contributions of the other players on the team which saved the day.

“We need to do something to get her (Crisler) more scoring opportunities,” said North Penn coach Maggie deMarteleire. “Every team in the league is going to do the same thing.

“Souderton pretty much did the same thing; CB South did the same thing. We played Downingtown West and they did the same thing.

“We made some adjustments at halftime just to look at the weak side some more. It gave us some more scoring opportunities, not necessarily for her, so we need something that’s going to get her more scoring opportunities.”

The coach had praise for Tumasz.

“The last couple games she’s really stepped it up,” deMarteleire said. “She had a good game last week against Souderton; she had a great game against CB South.

“She’s been getting a lot of big shots, making good decisions and taking care of the ball better.

“Vicky stepped up. Jackie Bilotti hit some shots; Jenn Halcovage hit some shots; Leiana (Dean) hit some shots; Sierra Simon hit a big 3 Ln WhH firVW hDOI WR WLH LW. (verybody else stepped up.”
