The News Media Alliance has promoted Danielle Colley to senior vice president, Strategic Initiatives and Counsel. Colley joined the organization in 2015 and has focused on the intersection of technology and public policy. She previously worked in the telecom industry for over 10 years.
Daytona Beach News-Journal publisher Bill Offill has been promoted to the position of group publisher for three GateHouse Media newspapers in Florida including e St. Augustine Record, and the Florida Times-Union in Jacksonville. Former Record publisher Tony Bernados was named the president of e Augusta Chronicle and Chronicle Media in May. In Jacksonville, Mark Nusbaum recently announced his retirement as president and publisher.
Sondre Gravir, the CEO of marketplaces at Schibsted (Norway), is leaving the company. He's the latest in a line of highlevel executives at Schibsted to leave in the past few months, including several from the classiffied marketplace arena.
Ben Kenfield has been named general manager of e Herald Journal (Logan, Utah), an Adams Publishing Group newspaper. Kenfield succeeds publisher Dave Welsh.
Northwest Florida Daily News Publisher Diane Winnemuller announced her retirement after three years. She will remain with GateHouse Media on a contractual basis.
James Doughton, regional publisher of seven newspapers including the Gainesville Sun and the Ocala Star-Banner, will retire at the end of the year.
Editorial page editor Ellen Clegg has retired from e Boston Globe after four years leading the editorial board. During her time with e Globe, she served as the executive director of communications, as well as deputy managing editor and city editor.
Herald-Tribune’s (Sarasota, Florida) Matthew Sauer will add the title of general manager to his existing duties as executive editor. Sauer will continue to oversee the Herald-Tribune’s newsroom but will now work with the media company’s seasoned team of executives to continue the paper’s mission.
Patrick Dorsey, the Herald-Tribune’s publisher since 2012, is taking over as publisher at newly acquired GateHouse Media newspaper the Austin American-Statesman. Dorsey will continue in his role as regional vice president of GateHouse’s Coastal Group, a territory that includes the parent company’s newspapers in Florida, Alabama and now the Statesman in Texas.

Mike Reilly, 58, vice president for news at BH Media, has resigned from the Omaha World-Herald to relocate to Texas. Reilly worked at e World-Herald for the past 28 years.
Jamey Honeycutt has been named publisher of ve community newspapers in Bolivar, Stockton, Bu alo, Marshfield and Ozark (Missouri). Honeycutt has represented these newspapers as advertising director and associate publisher since early July. Honeycutt will report to work Oct. 1. Dave Berry is retiring as publisher of the Bolivar Herald-Free Press, e ective at the end of September.
Aaron Becher has named a new vice president of newspaper operations for Forum Communications. Becher, general manager of e Forum of Fargo-Moorhead and West Fargo Pioneer since 2012 and director of advertising operations for the company in recent months, will now oversee publishers at the company’s more than 30 newspapers in four states.
D. Lee Carlson, president of PA Media Group, has announced her retirement e ective at the end of the year. PA Media Group is the parent company of PennLive and e Patriot-News.
Beau Campbell has joined Siebold Company as vice president Midwest sales. Campbell has successfully completed hundreds of press installations, press additions, press upgrades and press sales worldwide. He also serves on the ING board and is actively involved with several newspaper associations, including SNPA and the Inland Press Association.
Postmedia Network Canada has announced that David Pecker has resigned his seat from the boards of Postmedia Network Canada and Postmedia Network.
Andy Fisher has been named the new top business executive for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and USA Today NetworkWisconsin. Fisher, who most recently was an executive with the Dallas-based business software and marketing rm DexYP, started as Gannett’s vice president of sales for Wisconsin on Monday.
