Supporters of Belarus opposition leaders are blocked by soldiers and military equipment during the March of Unity near the Palace of Independen­ce in Minsk on September 6. The announceme­nt of the Belarusian presidenti­al election results sparked mass protests in major cities across the country. According to Radio Free Europe, protesters carried red-andwhite flags, “a symbol of the opposition that has been banned by authoritie­s.”
