Court Packing
Amy Coney Barrett, President Donald Trump’s nominee for associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, swears in to a Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearing on October 12. The committee, led by a Republican majority, will vote to move the nomination to the full Senate on October 22. A final vote is expected by the end of the month, just before the November 3 presidential election. Democrats were not pleased. “A sham,” said Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-minn, according to the Associated Press.
