With divorce rates high across the U.S., Newsweek related, “Getting in and out of divorce is almost like getting in and out of taxis.” In the middle of the sexual revolution, “what underlies the failure of so many marriages is not a new form of friction—but a new unwillingness to tolerate the old frictions.” Roughly 40 percent of ended marriages had lasted at least 10 years.
