There are currently at least 10,768 confirmed cases of monkeypox or orthopoxvirus in the U.S., according to the latest CDC figures. In light of rising infections, monkeypox was declared a public health emergency on August 4. New York, California and Florida have the most cases; only Wyoming has no confirmed cases so far.
