Food donations welcome

- By Jamie Fleury Staff Writer

The Marshall County Neighborhood Center food pantry is still open by appointment. Clients must be a resident of Marshall County and can order online through Facebook/marshallcountyneighborhoodcenter or make an appointment by calling 574-936-3388.

MCNC Director Chris Garner has requested that residents refrain from donating clothes and household items at this time, but food donations are welcome and needed. “Food donations are down. We are not allowed to place any orders at this time so any food donations would be amazing.”

The doors are locked; but those who have a donation of food can knock on the door or call the center at 936-3388. Garner said, “We don’t have volunteers right now, so please no clothing or household donations. I know everyone is cleaning, but please consider waiting to donate when we can safely resume normal activity.”
