REES for the Stars this October

The Grand Reopening of the REES Theatre will be held from Saturday, Oct. 1 through Oct. 8. The REES Planning Committee is now working on the weeklong celebratio­n with several events for the community.

• Saturday, Oct. 1 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Denver Bierman and the Mile High Orchestra (MHO). This event is free with donation.

• Saturday, Oct. 1 at 1 p.m. there will be a World Record Trumpet Challenge at River Park Square. This event is free with donation. For those that would like to participat­e in the challenge, visit www. reestheatr­e. com for more details.

• Saturday, Oct. 1 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. there will be a Dinner on the Street, Ribbon Cutting, Dedication and Denver Bierman and MHO, first concert on The Bob

Pickell Performing Arts Stage. Tickets for the evening are $125. Balcony tickets for the evening are $175.

• Sunday, Oct. 2 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. there will be a REES Theatre Community Tour. This event is free with donation.

• Sunday, Oct. 2 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Pierre Bensusan Concert, internatio­nally-known acoustic guitarist. Collaborat­ion with Wild Rose Moon. Tickets to be announced.

• Tuesday, Oct. 4 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. there will be Whiskey and Wisdom Trivial Tidbits with emcee Tony Ross the Boss. Adults $10.

• Thursday, Oct. 6 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. there will be Improv for adults and children. Adults $5/Kids $3.

• Saturday, Oct. 8 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. there will be a kids movie, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Adults $5/Kids $3
