FANTACO PUBLICATIONS UNLEASHES THE BLOODY CARD SET

Hot off the success of the sold-out hard and soft cover editions of Eerie Publications—The Complete Covers: The Whole Bloody Mess, Fantaco Publications is preparing to release a 55-card boxed set consisting of 54 new images and a checklist card. This is a follow-up to the ten-card bonus set that came with preorders of the books or direct purchase from the Fantaco website.

The set comes in an attractive collector’s box with the set shrink wrapped for added protection. Cards will be printed on thick 300gsm stock. Author Mike Howlett has selected the covers that he considers “the most important, gruesome, and downright dangerous.” Fantaco’s publisher Tom Skulan stated that this is an inexpensive way for fans and collectors, even simply curious collectors, to get a great visual of the covers for which the magazines were noted.

Even though the set has yet to release, Tom indicated this product has eclipsed the popularity of previous Fantaco sets. This includes the Tom Savini sets issued in the mid 1980s and the Clive Barker cards from the early 1990s.

The set will be available towards the end of December through the Fantaco website, stores, and distributors. Production will be limited to orders placed and will not be reprinted. Sets retail at $19.99.
