HAMMER HORROR SERIES 2

Long time UK manufacturer Unstoppable Cards is issuing Hammer Horror Series 2, a follow-up to its first Hammer Horror release, Series 1–The Classics. The first release featured films from Hammer Film Productions: The Curse of Frankenstein, Dracula, and The Mummy. Hammer Films, founded in 1934, produced a wide range of film genres, markedly its Gothic horror and fantasy productions starring prominent British actors Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee among other notables.

Hammer Horror Series 2 is subtitled Seventies Shockers Part 1. Films include Scars of Dracula, The Horror of Frankenstein, Blood from the Mummy’s Tomb, Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde, Lust for a Vampire, Demons of the Mind, Straight on Till Morning, Fear in the Night, and To the Devil a Daughter.

Each card in the 54-card base set has a still from one of the movies and the reverse displays fun facts from the represented film. Details for the insert sets are being developed, but sketch cards, autograph cards, and cut autograph cards will feature prominently, with randomly inserted subchase sets of six cards each. The set has a tentative release date of December 2022.

Steve Kirkham of Unstoppable Cards also shared that they are producing Hammer Horror mini sets of 18 cards each that collectors can subscribe to. The first offering was Countess Dracula, which included an autograph card of actor Nike Arrighi.
