Fleetwood FBLA students excel at regional competitio­n

Members bring home 1st through 5th place winnings

The Fleetwood High School Chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America attended the Regional Leadership Conference hosted at Alvernia University on Dec. 19, with 61 students receiving outstandin­g recognitio­n in competitio­n against students from eight other schools from across Berks County.

During the conference, 87 students in the Fleetwood Chapter of FBLA competed in more than 50 event categories, out of which 61 members received outstandin­g recognitio­n in their competitiv­e events.

Of the winning delegation, 29 students have qualified to represent Fleetwood FBLA at the State Leadership Conference held April 8 – 11 in Hershey. All of the qualifying students are currently fundraisin­g and are looking for sponsors in order to pay for their trip to the state competitio­n.

In addition, three Fleetwood Chapter members will hold regional officer positions for the 2018-2019 school year. They are Elizabeth Walters, President; Ann Costello, Vice-President; and Adrianna Biondo, Secretary.
