Not only is kick­ing and glid­ing on two skis an in­cred­i­ble aer­o­bic chal­lenge that works your run­ning mus­cles, but it also builds your arm, back and core strength. Learn about the equip­ment in­volved, with demon­stra­tions on tech­niques. Fol­lowed by prac­tice or a hike if con­di­tions not right for ski­ing. Skis not be pro­vided for event. Kutztown Area Demo­cratic Club meet­ing: 6 p.m., 234 East Main St., Kutztown. Pre­sen­ta­tion on Amer­i­can Busi­ness and Eco­nomic His­tory in the Age of Trump by busi­ness his­to­rian Andrew Popp. His work has ex­plored a range of top­ics in Bri­tish busi­ness, eco­nomic, and so­cial his­tory in the 19th cen­tury. Most re­cently he has been fo­cused on en­trepreneur­ship and fam­ily busi­ness. His work has been pub­lished in four books and nu­mer­ous aca­demic ar­ti­cles. A res­i­dent of the Le­high Val­ley for the last year, he is study­ing area fam­ily busi­nesses in the sec­ond half of the 20th cen­tury. Pub­lic in­vited.

Know Your Sym­phony dis­cus­sion It’s all Mozart Satur­day: with the Read­ing Sym­phony Orches­tra and pi­anist Boris Slut­sky. Know Your Sym­phony, held 7:30 p.m. in the High­lands at Wy­omiss­ing, is a pre­lude to the con­cert. Dis­cus­sion will be lead by Dr. Marie Aline Cadieux, pro­fes­sor of mu­sic at Kutztown Univer­sity. She will look at sev­eral of Mozart’s works. Tick­ets $5.
