The 53rd an­nual Se­nior Cit­i­zens Ban­quet was held on Nov. 25 at the Fleet­wood Grange Hall. The ban­quet is held each year and is to honor the se­nior cit­i­zen’s for their life­time con­tri­bu­tions they have made to our com­mu­nity. The event is co-spon­sored by the Fleet­wood Li­ons Club and the Fleet­wood Grange.

At­ten­dees were treated to a fam­ily style ham din­ner and mu­si­cal en­ter­tain­ment by “Time Frame”. The mem­bers of the Fleet­wood Grange pre­pare the meal and it is served by mem­bers of the Eastern Berks 4-H Dairy Club.

At­ten­dees hon­ored were the cou­ple mar­ried the long­est, Essie and Bernard Di­et­rich, who have been mar­ried for 62 years; the old­est woman, Elsie Seaman, 99 years old; and the old­est man, El­wood Rothen­berger, who is 94 years old.
